You don't have to go through a break up to see why it can be a beneficial thing for you to try and make up with your girlfriend if you have had an argument and it has led to her feeling as though you might not be the right man for her. All you have to do is think about whether or not it is more important for you to try to be right or more important to try and patch things up with your girlfriend. For most situations, I would think that the best thing for you to do is to try and patch things up with her rather than trying to keep the argument going so that you can try to win it. You don't want to win the argument by losing her, do you?

1) You don't have to worry about trying to go out and find a new girlfriend.

Remember back when you were single and it was hard for you to meet women? Don't you think that this is exactly what it will be like if you end up breaking up with your girlfriend? You might get a glimpse of feeling like the grass is greener and that you would much rather be single again, but I doubt that this is really what you want to do. I doubt that you want to have to go back to the club scene again and hope to be able to pick up a woman.

2) You already know what she is like, you don't have to worry about trying to get to know her.

The phase where you are trying to get to know someone new can be one of the hardest ones to have to deal with. It can be fun, that is true, but it can also be kind of stressful. Sometimes, it is much better to be with someone you are already familiar with, someone that you know how to deal with rather than trying to start a new relationship up with someone else.

If you are truly thinking about working things out with your girlfriend, then these two benefits are probably more than enough to make you think that it would be good for you to try and work things out with her. And you know what? It can be done. You may not be able to win her back right away by making up with her, but you are at least setting things up to be easier for yourself if that is what you want to do in the future.
