Relationship Advice - Red Flags to Watch Out For In a New Relationship

Whenever we start a new relationship, there may be "red flags" to let us know something isn't quite right. If you are out in the dating world, it can be quite hard to navigate from person-to-person, trying to find the right one for you.

Let's take a look at some of the most common relationship red flags so you will know if your relationship is headed for the pits or success.

One relationship red flag is when a grown man still lives at home with his parents. So why is this a relationship red flag? Well, a lot will depend upon his age. But, sometimes it means the man is either in no hurry to grow up, or else has too strong of a relationship with his parents. It can also mean he doesn't want to become independent or responsible for himself financially.

Another possible relationship red flag is if he never invites you over to his own home, or where he lives. Maybe he always wants to hang out in your place. This could mean several things. It could mean he's actually hiding something or even is in another relationship. It could also mean he doesn't live in a very nice area or maybe he's even a hoarder!

Something else to be wary of when it comes to relationships is a man who's moving too quickly. If he's going above and beyond to win you over and making you feel uncomfortable, you might want to think about the reasoning behind this. Sometimes, it's because he's on the rebound from another relationship... or he's getting desperate because he's getting older. Clinginess can be a sign of jealousy or abuse in the future, so be very careful about that.

Finally, another red flag is he is constantly talking badly about his ex partner. Even if your new partner no longer likes their ex, they shouldn't be running around talking badly about them to other people. This just means he looks resentful, tacky and also unwilling to take any responsibility for whatever he did wrong in the relationship. The fact is, you have to think about whether you want him to talk poorly about you and holding a grudge against you if your relationship doesn't work out.

Finding the right relationship can be difficult for many people, but it is important to look out for these red flags so you don't end up in a relationship that is toxic for you.
