Why Dating After 40 Isn't That Hard

It used to be that people would look at being 40 as 'over the hill.' And dating over the age of 40 was kind of a taboo subject as by that age, you were kind of expected to have already gotten married and started a family. But, at the same time, people used not to live as long as they do now, divorce used to be uncommon, and it wasn't outside the realm of reason for people to stay with someone because it was the 'right' thing to do. Well, things have certainly changed, now, haven't they?

Dating over the age of 40 is a lot more common, as people are living longer and realizing that they don't have to settle down at a certain age. People have become more career oriented, and that leads to them staying single because they are focused on their careers and their dreams. And we all know that the divorce rate has edged pretty highly and it's not nearly as taboo of a subject. All of this adds up to the fact that there are more people than ever who are single, over the age of 40, and looking to meet someone.

So, it really does not have to be that hard, as there are going to be plenty of people out there who are in the same situation you are in. With a lot of the social taboos removed from dating over the age of 40, you don't have to worry about that, either.

I think that most people who seem to see dating over 40 as being hard do so simply because that is the way that they see it, not because that is the way that it is. Think about it. You are probably financially independent, you have been doing your own thing for a while now, so it's not like you are looking for someone to help you survive. You also probably have a much clearer picture of who you are and what you want out of life.

This means that you will be a lot less likely to pick the wrong person, or to end up in a relationship with someone that you eventually outgrow. Sure, it can still happen and it does, but your odds are probably a lot better than when you were in your 20's and you did not really have a good idea about who you were and what you wanted.

The other really good thing about dating in your 40's nowadays, is that there are many more places that you can go to meet people. You don't just have to rely on the bar and club scene anymore, there are online dating sites you can join, different social clubs and groups where people will have the same interests as you, etc.

If you feel like dating over the age of 40 is tough, you may want to change the way that you look at things. Appreciate the fact that you are more in tune with who you are and what you want out of life. Appreciate the fact that you don't have to head to a bar or club if that is not your thing. And appreciate that most of the social taboos about dating in your 40's have been removed.

My Boyfriend Says I'm Boring! How to Change His Mind About You

"My boyfriend says I'm boring!" Ouch. That had to have stung. You're embarrassed, aren't you? Being with a man who finds you boring obviously isn't the position you want to be in. You hate that he views you that way and now you're worried about each and every thing you do. Although you probably wouldn't consider yourself boring, it's not what you think that matters at this point, is it? The damage was done when he shared what he felt with you. You must change his perception of you now. If you don't, the fact that he finds you boring is going to lead to him wandering off in another direction straight for a woman he finds exciting and unpredictable.

If your boyfriend says you're boring don't ignore it or try to get him to take it back. He said it for a reason and it likely wasn't his intention to hurt your feelings. He was sharing what he thought about you. The fact of the matter is that men find women boring for a whole host of reasons. Typically it's centered on the fact that the couple has settled into a predictable routine. If he knows that on Tuesday evening you two will head to the movies and that on Fridays you're going to cook him dinner that gets boring very quickly. He doesn't want to know what's around the corner. Once a man can positively predict every one of his girlfriend's next moves, he's going to stop finding her alluring or interesting.

So how can you break out of the boring label you're now wearing? It's so simple. What you need to do is spice up your relationship by becoming spontaneous. If he's expecting you to go right, you're going to head straight left. If he thinks he knows the next words that will leave your lips, you're going to say something that will leave him speechless. You, my dear, are going to become the woman he just can't get a handle on. If you do that, boring will be the very last word he'll use to describe you from this day forward.

Start by mixing up your plans for this evening. Whatever you typically do on this evening of the week, you're not going to do. Instead, think of something outside the box. If it's winter, plan an ice skating date or maybe skiing. If it's the dead heat of summer, pack a picnic and your bikini and head for the beach with your man in tow. Repeat your new adventures tomorrow and the day after that. Your goal is to ensure that he never quite knows what to expect on each date. He'll likely even show up early some days just because he can't contain his excitement and curiosity.

What you say is going to be as important as what you do. Men love a woman who speaks her mind and speaks of her desires. If you haven't been very vocal with your boyfriend about how much you desperately desire him, tell him. Share it with him by whispering sweet naughty things in his ear. Say the things he'd never expect you to say and he'll fall over himself with wanton desire for you.

Mixing things up a bit is the surest way to break out of your boring persona. Show your boyfriend that there's much more to you than meets the eye and he'll crave to be with you more and more.

3 Highly Effective Tips For Flirting With a Girl

Flirting is an essential part of building a sexual attraction with a girl, and knowing how to flirt with a girl will give you a huge head start when you are trying to get a girl to like you.

On the other hand if you can't flirt right, you could miss out on many opportunities with women. Or worse, you could ruin a perfectly good opportunity.

So make sure you flirt with pretty girls often. It is the most effective way to build a girls attraction for you, especially if you keep it fun and playful.

3 tips for how to flirt with a girl

1. Touching is very powerful. Do not be afraid to touch the girl it will show her that you are confident with women. However, don't overdo it, and keep it innocent. Using touch sparingly can be very effective.

2. Don't talk to much. If you talk to much then you are not listening to the girl. And the more you listen, the more a girl will open up, and the more she opens up, the more she will be attracted to you.

3. Don't forget to smile. Smiling is very powerful, and will help a girl become more comfortable around you. While your at it, pay attention to all of your body language. Make sure you keep a positive body language

Romantic Date Ideas to Make You Smile

If we assume everyone loves to smile and be cheerful, then we stand more of a chance to make our romantic date idea a success. When arranging a first date it is therefore important to find out as much as possible about the person, before we book a venue or pay for the champagne. Ask what the object of your desire would like to do on your date - or ask their friends and colleagues. We usually let our defences down with people we know well and feel relaxed with, so they are best suited to give advice on what romantic date idea will bring a smile to your loved one's face.

For people who love outdoor pursuits a romantic date idea such as a hike along the Colonial Coast Birding Trail in Georgia will be perfect. Take your loved one to salt marsh and wetlands habitat of some three hundred species of birds. Be a wildlife photographer and explorer for the day and ask your loved one to pose for photographs against the stunning background of tidal rivers, setting sun and rose-tinted skies. After the date be sure to let your loved one have framed pictures of your special time together - and watch how they smile when they remember how you spotted a rare bird together or when you surprised them with a picnic basket full of their favourite food.

If your loved one isn't the outdoor type, there are still lots of romantic date ideas that might make them smile...how about a weekend away which includes a pottery course and lets you recreate that sexy scene from Ghost? Or take your loved one to a spa where you can both relax and be pampered - and follow up this special day with a meal at home, ordered in from your loved one's favourite restaurant with a waiter to serve the dishes.

Snuggling up in a sleeping bag under the stars at a campsite in Black Rock Mountain State Park or going on a wine tasting at Georgia's fine Chateau Elan, a 16th century style chateau surrounded by vineyards, are wonderful ways to enjoy a weekend away and are bound to bring a smile to your loved one's face.

Making our romantic date ideas fun and relaxing by allowing the other person and ourselves to stay true to our own nature is the most important thing to remember - we don't like being forced into things we'd rather not do.

What To Say To A Girl You Just Met? My Secret Method To Getting Her!

Wondering what to say to a girl you just met? If so then I can tell you that you need to know a few things to make things go good. When a girl first meets you she is really trying to size you up. In fact I have heard that you only have about 30 seconds to make a girl "like you" or "not like you." So you got to act fast and let her know that your a man who has options.

If your like so many other guys you most likely have faced the pain of rejection. It's a bad feeling to talk to a girl at a place like a book store just to have her shoot you down. Im going to try my best to prevent that for you and if this article is not enough check out my bio box below for my free guide. With that being said let's go ahead and take a look at a powerful little trick to get her interested into you right away!

What to say to a girl you just met is all about acting quick on your feet. Well the first thing you need to do is let her know that you are not interested in here just because she's hot! To do this just treat her like a girl your not interested in. Be confident and friendly but show a lack of interest at first.

Make small talk that isn't dumb! What I mean here is try to find something relative to talk about in the current situation. If you are in the book store and she's looking at a cat training book let her know that you have a cat that needs to be trained too. Tell her that he got stuck on top of the washer machine one night during a thunderstorm. Turns out he got so scared that he jumped up there in a panic! Just make interesting small talk like that.

Let her know that you are desired and have choices. Just and have a good time! At the end of the conversation just casually ask her for her number or if she has facebook. Tell her you should talk and continue where you left off! It's no mystery! Just don't act so desperate or too needy. There are many methods to get a girl that we can talk about and you can learn other things on what to say to a girl you just met.

The Singles Epidemic - My Quest to Find Mr Right

It's astonishing to hear that there are now more American women single than ever before. According to a January 2007 New York Times article, 51% of women were living without a spouse. The U.S. Census Bureau reported 43% of all Americans over the age of 18 are single.

It seems like everywhere I turn these days I hear complaints about the arduous task of finding a mate. Everyone is looking for that special someone! So why has it become so difficult to meet people? There are a plethora of challenges that people encounter these days when looking for their mates. For one, people are becoming more career driven than ever before. This economy has affected everything, even dating. It's not feasible to take someone out to a restaurant if you are having a difficult time paying your rent and your bills are piling up.

The type of profession someone has could pose a problem also. Doctors are often on call, which would force them to abruptly interrupt their date. Men and women in the military often find dating challenging since they have to be away from home for long periods of time. Of course each person's unique situation may make dating even grimmer. As men and women reach their 30's and beyond, there is a smaller selection of eligible people to date as many others in their age range have already married or have begun their families. Those who are divorced, widowed, or are single parents are often met with difficulties when venturing out into the dating scene as they are sometimes viewed as having more "complicated" lives.

Single people have turned to various venues to meet fellow singles. Places to meet people have evolved from the workplace and backyard barbecues to the online dating world. According to the Online Dating and Dating Services Facts and Statistics, 17% of couples who married in 2010 met through an online dating site. Dating sites such as Match.com, eHarmony, and Plenty of Fish, have been growing increasingly popular during the recent years. Not to mention social networking sites like Facebook and My Space!

After attending one of my close friend's wedding last summer and finding out that she and her husband met on plentyoffish.com, I decided to test this method out myself. I didn't believe that it was so easy to meet someone until I tried it. After registering and creating a profile, I began searching for Mr. Right. A week later, I was wondering if there was a way to clone myself. One date right after the other! In the first week I had gone out with four different people. I couldn't keep track mentally so I decided to write a journal entry on each date. Within 9 months I had met 24 people. All of my friends persuaded me to write a blog about dating and even told me to post each of my journal entries on the blog. I am doing just that on my new blog, http://thewrongfish.com. This blog is all about my dating adventure and guide to love and relationships.
